Strip LED Lights

Many kitchens today have the bulky flickering florescent lights under the cabinets that emit an unnatural color and can get quite hot.  LED strips are the newest option for flexible accent lighting.  The strips are so small they can be mounted on the backside of the cabinet trim work, using the self adhesive tape on the back, and from the front people can’t even tell where the light is coming from.

The LED Strips come in a variety of colors such as red, blue, purple, green, yellow, white, and warm white and different brightness.  Most are 100% dimmable.  They can be used indoors and there is a waterproof variety for outdoors or wet indoor areas.  The lights are pretty flexible so they arrive on a reel that looks like a film strip reel.  These lights are great for small places because the strip can be cut (with just regular scissors) after every 3rd light.

I recently installed these as under cabinet lights in my own kitchen and am highly impressed with how easy it was to install, and with the warmth and brightness of the lights.  With the small size, low energy consumption and flexible installation options the possibilities of lighting options are many.
