Thorough job worthy of a luxury custom house builder. Botond and his team were intimately familiar with all aspects of the project and nothing escaped the careful scrutiny and attention it deserved.
Tarek & Rachel E., Highland Park

The owner desired for this kitchen to be the focal point of the house as a place to gather friends and family. This multi-week project involved transforming the physical space by removing a load-bearing wall, adding beams to support the upstairs subfloor, and relocating the laundry room to a newly-finished attic location. Additional space was also gained by replacing a large water-heater with an on-demand unit, saving both space and electricity costs.

Upgrade and rerouting of electrical, plumbing, and air-conditioning infrastructure made space for installation of custom-made cabinets and hand-scraped walnut floors that define this stately kitchen.

The larger energy-efficient windows bring in natural light. Artificial lighting is supplemented by polished nickel fixtures that accent the large farmhouse sink. Solid slab of white Danbi marble tops the island in the middle of the kitchen and allows for a great gathering place for the family and entertaining guests. A smaller vegetable sink within the island is easily accessed while cooking up treats on the stove and can be filled with ice to hold drinks during parties.
